Loading up the plate

Isaac and I never like to do things halfway, we go for it! So when we saw that we didn't have much planned for most of August and September, we knew that we had to change that. Now, it wasn't like we didn't have anything planned, we did have a week long trip to Florida scheduled to see my dad and Isaac's cousin and her family. But really that was only a week. What else could be load our plate with?

How about a new house? (I seriously just said that in my head in a Bob Barker voice a la The Price is Right)

We started looking at investment properties a few months ago, but after looking at the rental market in our current area, we figured that we should rent out our current home and get ourselves into something a bit bigger. We found an amazing home, but it was under contract. Then there was amazing home #2, but we got outbid. And then amazing home #3 came along. And it happened to be one street over from a great friend and across the street from a new elementary school. Crazy good right? So we submitted our bid, and while we were on vacation, it was accepted! We had already decided not to tell anyone about the home, just in case it didn't happen. So while on the trip our amazing realtor took care of everything, and we got to have a great time!

And then the plate continued to fill up...

I realized that I started my MOPS meetings very soon. I am blessed to be a DGL(Discussion Group Leader) this year, and have a table full of amazing mommies! This meant a few work nights, a few meetings, lots of prayer, and lots of emails!!

And let's not forget that Jacob's birthday is just around the corner, and that means PARTY!!! And all of the planning that comes with that.

Oh, and we need to move...and pack...and pack...and pack....oy vey

Yeah, and what about our house? We need to get it rented. Which means de-cluttering and keeping it "showing ready" every day. With an 11 month old in the house. ---On a side note: People that schedule a showing from 8-9pm on a Monday night, and then cancel that showing at 7:30 are not very nice. The same goes for those that schedule a showing from 1-3 pm (prime nap time) and then call at 2:30 to cancel. I think that there should be a no show fee. Like at the Dr office. And it should be doubled if the current homeowners have children!

But the house is going to be so worth it. Here are just a few pictures:

But like I said, we like having our plates full! And they are definitely overflowing.

We are also being showered with blessings.
-Blessed by my mom being able to watch Jacob today so that we could sign all of the closing paperwork without getting drool on the pens, paper, and everything else.
-Blessed by our fabulous babysitter who is watching Jake so we can work on packing next week.
-Blessed by our wonderful realtor who was always there to calm my nerves and answer our my millions of questions.
-Blessed by a great support system of family and friends who have offered to help move, watch Jacob, bring over boxes, and just listen.
-And I have been blessed by my wonderfully patient and understanding husband. He has been so forgiving with my lack of cooking and honestly, my lack of patience these past few weeks.

We are in the home stretch of clearing our plates, if only momentarily. We move next week,  Jacob's birthday is two weeks after that, and the MOPS group is running smoothly. I know though, that once it is clear for a week or so, we will start filling it back up again. After all, Christmas decorations are already out at Hobby Lobby and I have a whole new house to decorate!
