- MDO is a GODSEND!
- I love it, Jake loves it, Isaac loves it. It is a winner all around. I love that I get a few hours a week to myself to clean, cook, read, nap, whatever I feel like doing. It also means that the time that I do spend with Jacob is that much better, because I am not thinking about all of the other things that need to get done. Instead it is just quality mom and son time. Jacob seems to really enjoy the fabulous ladies that take care of him and loves watching the other babies. He has yet to fuss when I drop him off, just smiles at me and then at the staff that takes him. And last but not least, Isaac loves that I am calmer, the house is cleaner, Jacob isn't as clingy to me. To quote from RHONJ "Happy wife, Happy life" :)
- The crockpot is an undervalued kitchen appliance.
- Although I am still working on recipes that we all love, it makes life so much easier to be able to throw a few items in it in the morning and that evening have a great meal and normally have leftovers as well. So far our favorite is french dip sandwiches, with the meat from the crockpot.
- The women of MOPS are angels!
- The women that I have met through MOPS are amazing and Godly women. They have been my sounding board, nurse line, prayer circle, supportive shoulder, laugh inducer, and so much more. I don't know why I didn't join them sooner!
- The nurse line at the dr office is your friend!
- Jacob has had a low grade fever for a few days, and more recently was spitting up more than normal. Now those of you who have been around Jake for any amount of time, know that he spits up often. But the past few days it has been excessive. So I called the nurse line. They suggested Pedialyte for 6 hours, no milk, and if when he starts the milk again and spits up, bring him in, if not, then he probably just had a bad feeding. Well, we did the pedialyte and then milk, and then spit up city. Ugh! Turns out he has sinus drainage, which goes into his tummy and upsets it. Poor thing. So we are now on a short term antibiotic and a gentle on the tummy formula for his bedtime feeding. Hoping that this fixes things!

Why didn't I do this sooner?
So lately I have had a lot of, "Why didn't I do this sooner?" or "Why didn't I think of this before?" But I guess some of it is recovering from "pregnancy brain" and some of it is first time mom realizations.
